Dr Tharmagajan Tharmachandirar - General Practitioner

Dr Gaj (Dr Tharmagajan Tharmachandirar) studied medicine at the University of Sussex and trained as a junior doctor in Dundee. After training as a GP in Angus he has worked as a GP in Angus, Aberdeen and Aberdeenshire. In the last 2 years he has settled in NHS Tayside as a GP partner. He also works as an out of hours GP with NHS Fife working out of St Andrews Hospital.

His interest is around the management of all patients needing to see a GP and especially enjoys practicing patient centered care. This is a medical approach that focuses on the needs and preferences of the patient than the disease itself. He also prides himself on holistic medicine, which is an approach that considers the patient as a whole mentally, physically with their own beliefs around their health bringing all this together in line with the latest medical guidance available to help treat and prevent ill health.

He is very open and happy to see all patients wanting to discuss medical problems around their health and advise if a referral would be needed to a specialist.
